The context of the project "Education for peace intergenerational transmission of adults education"

is the need to develop education for peace in situations of conflict in Europe.

The aim of the project is to improve the competence of the people involved in the activities of the Foundation Gaudete. Project participants are employes and volunteers. The project involves a total of 6 people. Participants have a need to know how in other countries such as Spain are developing areas of education for peace in the intergenerational transmission. A special need for the participants is the best use of existing initiatives in the areas of intercultural and intergenerational education, learning, lifelong learning, post-conflict reconstruction, European citizenship and European awareness.

Against the background of conflicts and social tensions currently occurring in Europe, the project was selected partner Associacio Cultural Catalonopolonesa (ACCP). Partner is located in the Catalonia region of Spain. It is a region that seeks to achieve independence. Partner has experience in working with immigrants and communities of different cultures. Selection was based on the assumption that peace education is not only a form of education that is needed in the areas of conflict . It is also necessary as a form of education in all communities standing in the challenge of integration and cohesion in the social, cultural and political . The partner organization in Spain will be organized for staff and volunteers training course Before leaving for the participants will be organized prepared. It will provide practical support and logistics and will provide a good preparation for departure training course . The project is consistent with the priorities specific to the area of adult education - providing information on access to learning throughout life, - the creation of educational opportunities tailored to individual adults. he project will contribute to improving the competence of the participants in the area of knowledge, experience , attitude. The project supports efforts to improve the quality, innovation and broadcasting international dimension in the applicant institution - Gaudete Foundation. Participants through participation in the project will develop competencies personal, interpersonal and intercultural. The project will contribute to an increase in the number of adults participating in the learning process throughout their lives.
