Development of teachers? and trainers

The project titled ?Development of teachers? and trainers? competence in the area of tutoring, mentoring and coaching? concerned international exchange of experience.

In the project took part the following partners: partners from Spain and Portugal. The group of participants consisted of professionals in the field of education and vocational training-teachers and trainers.

The project was realized from the 11^th of August 2008 to the 31^st of May 2009.

There were 12 participants who took part in 1-week exchange in Mobility Specialis- Barcelona in Spain and next 12 participants took part in 1-week exchange in Escola Professional de Tomar in Portugal.??

The project observed participants? well-prepared cultural and linguistic preparations and their preparations to exchange in Portugal and Spain.

Goals of projects:

Exchange of information on experience in the field of promoting tutoring in training and vocational education.

Expansion of knowledge concerning opportunities and support of vocational development through coaching.

Transfer of innovation methods and tools of mentoring and the role of mentor in all stages of vocational carrer.

During the exchange of experience there were study visits in the following local organizations: CIRE, Adega (Portugal), Acambio (Spain). There were debates with participants of Nersant association (Portugal) and EQUILIBR (Spain). There was possibility of meeting with regional organizations Feira de Santa Iria and familiarization with EAGALA Programme in Spain. It was organized by Mercado Municipal in Tomat in Portugal. Owing to taking part in exchange, participants were able to expand their knowledge in the area of the project?s theme. Participants of exchange were given certificates. The documents included confirmation of the period of time spent in the exchange and the extent of the project?s theme. Moreover, the project?s participants expanded their knowledge concerning extension of vocational support through coaching.

The most important project?s aims are: teachers? and trainers? fulfilling the need of information exchange and experience in the area of tutoring promotion in vocational education, and expansion of knowledge connected with possibility of supporting vocational development by means of coaching. The result of project?s realization was the influence on vocational and personal development of participants and it also caused improvement of intercultural and linguistic competence.

In the project, participants prepared the following publication? Tutoring, mentoring, coaching - teachers? and trainers? competence?. During the exchange, the participants were familiarized with the methods of supporting vocational development. There was transfer of innovative methods and tools in the filed of mentoring.

The participants exchanged experience in the area of mentor?s role concerning all stages of vocational education. There was comparison of solutions from Poland, Portugal and Spain in the filed of tutoring, mentoring and coaching in vocational training.

The project was carried out owing to the financial support which was obtained from European Commission in Lifelong Learning Programme.
