Fostering intergenaration solidarity through ecological education

The participants of the mobility activities are the staff of the consortium organization within the framework of non-professional adult education.

Participants are staff: employees and volunteers. The consortium consists of:

  • Gaudete Foundation,
  • Association of Odrzykoniaków,
  • The Guild of Various Crafts in Żory.
  • Institute of Local Cooperation and Partnership in Katowice.

The project supports the acquisition, updating and development of participants' competences..

Detailed objectives of the project:

  1. Improving staff competences in promoting intergenerational solidarity
  2. Developing the competences of seniors in the field of ecology through intergenerational 
  3. Increasing the competences of the management team in the field of linguistic competences (English)
  4. Increasing the quality of international cooperation.

The project aims to increase the competence of the staff in the field of strengthening intergenerational solidarity through environmental education. The aim of the project is to build mutual understanding and tolerance between older and younger members of society. The project aims to acquire practical skills in intergenerational learning.

Intergenerational solidarity is broadly understood as "social cohesion between generations" (The "generation gap" 2005). Solidarity between generations at all levels - in families, communities and nations - is fundamental to achieving society for all age groups.
